Hey everyone! Ranting again...
New topic this time though... TAAHHHDDAAAAHHHH!!!!!
*MY MOTHER WON'T LET ME HAVE A DOG!*

But that's not the real thing that's getting on my nerves... it's the fact that the only reason she gave me for me not being able to have a dog is 'because she said so' I mean what the hell??!?! What kind of twatish reason is that??

Don’t get me wrong, my mum's usually lovely.. If absent 80% of the time...
But still.. That’s the only reason she gave me.. There’s no logical reason for me not to get a dog.. It’s not like a want to buy a £700 pedigree puppy or anything...

I was planning on adopting a rescue dog, probably a little older that one year old, that was house trained, non destructive, and was good with cats.. And I’ve found plenty such dogs on a multitude of websites! And the websites don't even show all the animals from the kennels.. So there's probably twice as many perfect dogs for us..

I would of liked a large dog rather than a small one, but I’d be just as happy if the one we got was little, because I guess then it’d be a lot less intimidating for my girls, and just as long as it's not tiny.. Tiny dog's really freak me out.. >< Ewww chihuahuas….

Anyways.. I was looking around, and my ideal doggy'd be either a husky, huskamute, akita, alaskan malamute or just a larger dog in general.. even a GSD.. they're lovely too..

Gosh.. I’d just really love one! I think a dog would fit perfect in our house.. And it would keep me company when mum's not here.. She works long hours and stays at Keith’s the majority of the time.. So it gets rather lonely here all by myself.. I do have my beautiful girls, but being cats, they are pretty much able to look after themselves.. So they don't need my like a dog would.. They’re so independent

Don’t get me wrong, I love them to pieces, they're the best cats in the world and I wouldn't change them for anything.. But, you just don't bond with cats like you do dogs.. We used to have a dog, she was a brilliant old girl ^^

I just love the feeling of having dogs, you know, the way they're instantly happy to see you all the time, the way you can play with them is also totally different to cats, and walking! Gosh I love walking dogs.. and I think in the long run, having a pet that needs that kinda physical stimulation would be really healthy for me, and would help to get me more active, I think

Mum said 'oh, you could get a job walking other peoples dogs!' yeah, fair enough, I guess I could.. But then at the end of the day, I’d still have to give them back to their owners and go home to a rather empty house..

It’s not like we lack space here, we live seconds from the beach, have a huge park just down the road, and have quite a reasonably sized garden.. I even said that I’d get a job to pay for vet bills, food, bedding, insurance, and the cost of the donation to the shelter..

But no, she just said I couldn't have one because she said so...

I think that's one of the worst things a parent says.. That and 'I’m not angry, I’m disappointed'...

I just want a companion, you know? Someone that's always happy to see me when I wake up or when I come home from school.. And I want to do my bit to help out my local rescue centers, because we're perfect for a dog, and there're far to many perfectly wonderful dogs being put down or sent off to shelters of no good reason other that they're not wanted.. And I just think it's a bit wrong that mum refuses to give an animal a wonderful, loving home for no good reason at all...

Sorry everyone who even tries to read this... XD I might have gone a bit over the top, ne?
But I had to get everything of my chest... and now that I have, I feel a lot lot better
